We are excited to welcome you and your child to our Reception class, where we continue to build on the strong foundations established in Nursery within a caring, stimulating, and engaging environment. At Manchester Road Primary Academy, we support children to grow in confidence as they become more independent learners, ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

Our Reception provision is rooted in our core values of pride, positivity, and politeness. We encourage children to take pride in their achievements, approach learning with enthusiasm and resilience, and show kindness, respect, and consideration for others in all that they do.

Through a rich and carefully planned curriculum, children take part in a wide range of meaningful learning experiences that develop their skills, knowledge, and understanding across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our play-based and structured activities are designed to inspire curiosity, build communication and problem-solving skills, and support each child to reach their full potential.

Our dedicated team works closely with families to ensure every child feels supported, happy, and secure. We aim to equip children with the confidence, independence, and love of learning they need as they move into Key Stage 1 and beyond, preparing them for the next stages of their education and life.
